Rhiannyn playing in the window at the Chicago airport. She was really easy to travel with and was a great sport with all the delays and changes to her normal routine.Poor long suffering Dave. She adored all the attention that he gave her. She is lucky to be so spoiled by her aunt and uncle!
He is so little and what a sleeper! I wish I could sleep through everything like that!
Pretty cute bed mate!Keeentucky!
Home of the Wildcats and possibly the easiest newborn I have ever heard of.
Ditching Wyatt and the oldest three, Rhee and I boarded a plane for Owensboro, Kentucky to help Nells with her little Spencer. We had some minor travelling issues. (Our plane was delayed several hours on both flights and we had to go without luggage for a few days.) My mother had spent the previous week with Nell and Dad flew in for the weekend. It was quite a crew Nells had at her house that first weekend we were there. It is always fun to spend time with my family, and I really enjoyed getting to spend more time with Dave and little Spencer. Poor Dave, like Wyatt, usually has to stay home and work when we get together for family gatherings so we don't get to see him a whole lot. He was so patient with Rhee. She is a good little girl, but she loves the attention, and decided that the best toys in the house were the various remotes and the mouse to Dave's computer. I kept telling him that he didn't need to humor her and let her play with them, but he was a great sport and she loved all the attention. She really missed her brothers and sister though. We went to a shower for Spencer at one of Nells friends and Rhee got so excited to be around other kids. She is definitely a fourth child.
Spencer is such a good baby. I was there for ten days and I think that I only heard him cry once when they had to fix his circumcision. I tend to have pretty easy babies, but Spencer tops them all. I miss that cuddle stage. Rhee turns one in a couple of days and she has decided that she is too old to cuddle. There is something awesome about being able to cuddle with a newborn. I almost felt like there was no good reason for me to be there. I had forgotten that there really is not a whole lot of cleaning and cooking to be done when it is only for three adults. I did get to take Spencer to let Nells get a little sleep but he really is just soooo easy.
Nells has a bunch of really great friends in Kentucky and it was fun to meet them and spend a little time getting to know them. They were very welcoming and I was astounded at how willing they were to drop everything and help with anything. Kentucky may not be on my list of places to move to, but Nell's friends could not have been better. I wish that Nells lived closer. I hate that we won't get to see Spencer until Christmas. Thank goodness for blogs and web cams!
