We had a really calm Easter this year. Apparently, the Easter bunny had to have help from Santa, so we woke up to a lot of snow and colds for the kids. So.. after the fun of following their candy trails to their baskets, we spent most of the day lazying about and watching Church movies. I was still on my crazy diet, but Wyatt and the kids had a big dinner. It was a mistake to let them have foods I liked, but it was a holiday what do you do? They had ham and cheesy potatoes and it isn't Easter without fruit salad with colored mini marshmallows. I did get to eat the asparagus and strawberries, but am not sure that the kids enjoyed the strawberry shortcake as much as they should have. I guess it is just hard to compete with straight out sugar.
The Easter bunny always brings something to remind the kids what Easter is all about. Jordyn got a beautiful CTR necklace and Alex got the scripture stickers for his new scriptures. Damion got a fun quiet book for church. He had a great time playing with it, but I am not sure it will go very far to keep him quiet.
Rhee had a great time putting her fruit snacks in her purse and then dumping them out again. She didn't quite catch the vision, but she was sure cute to watch. All in all a nice day.
